Plamen Kapitanski can’t be defined as a typical representative of the known styles in the painting art.
Expressionist who rebels against societal mores.
Impressionist whose portraits come alive through the depth of view.
Romanticist who recreates skillfully and delicate mental states, interwoven romantic irony to grotesque.
Symbolist – each of his picture unlocks the imagination where everyone can find something of their own world.
Sometimes it is difficult to understand him, another time scandalous, but always unique. The road is long. He leaves a bright trace of any place where he passed from the mural in the church „St. George“ (village Zlatolist), his miraculous icons in the church „Sveta Troytsa“ (Cross Forest), through the portrait of “Richard the Lionheart“ in the private collection of Queen Elizabeth II and the icon of the Virgin Mary for Pope John Paul II in the Vatican, to everyone who has touched to his art.
Each graphic amazes with purity of line. Each picture impresses with its immensity. His every icon becomes alive.
The best is yet to come!
